Current Vacancy: Private Music Tutor
Salary Range: £41,000- £43,000
Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, structured one-to-one music lessons tailored to each student’s needs, goals, and learning style.
- Provide instruction in instrumental and/or vocal performance, as well as music theory, aural skills, and music appreciation.
- Prepare students for recognised music examinations, including ABRSM, Trinity, GCSE and A-Level Music, as well as school entrance assessments where required.
- Monitor student progress, provide clear and constructive feedback, and maintain regular communication with parents and the InterLead consultancy team.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and motivating learning environment, whether teaching in students’ homes, at our premises, or online.
- Participate in student progress reviews and internal meetings with the InterLead education consultancy team.
Requirements and skills:
- Fluent English and proficiency in a second language (Fluent Chinese required).
- A recognised degree in Music, Music Education, or a closely related discipline.
- Proven experience as a music tutor, teacher, or instructor, with demonstrable student progress and outcomes.
- High proficiency in at least one musical instrument and/or vocal instruction, with a strong command of music theory.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage a flexible schedule, and travel to students when required.
Location: Mainly based in London, with occasional business travel within the UK and to China.
